Starting in 1964, Indonesia switched to the "new rupiah" with a nominal value of 1,000 old rupiah, as a consequence of the hyperinflation of the early 1960s.
The image shows banknotes of 1 Sen (1 Rupiah = 100 Sen), 25 Rupiah, and 50 Rupiah. The notes were issued in 1964 and, except for the banknote showing a farmer with a conical hat typical of Asia, depict volunteer soldiers called Sukarelawan.
